Rose (verified owner) –
I recently bought the Impressions Vanity 9-Drawer storage unit, and I wanted some pretty drawer organizers to keep my makeup better organized. Before everything was loose and taking up much more space. I ordered mine in lilac with the glamour glitter.
First off – if you look at the measurements you might be wondering how in the world a drawer organizer 11″ x 10.5″ is going to fit in the Impressions Vanity drawers, which are 11″ x 17″, without leaving a lot of unsightly space. The answer is because the drawers in the Impressions Vanity unit don’t pull all the way out – there’s about 5 or so inches of space beyond the point at which they stop, and you wouldn’t be able to get anything out of the storage units back there. They do, however, fit perfectly within the actualy usable space of the drawers. (Actually, they were the perfect size for me to hide some larger palettes, or some small plastic bins with things I don’t use very often like lashes or glitter shadow.)
Anyway, they shipped to me pretty quickly given the pandemic, and this compact organizer came in perfect condition. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to organize my palettes in here, so hopefully this will help other people. I put these palette organizers in the bottom drawers of my unit, the ones that are 4″ tall. ABH palettes (like Soft Glam) can fit with a thin Colourpop palette (think the 9-pans, or any of their cardboard ones) in the same slot. You can put four Colourpop 9-pan palettes in one slot – two rows of two. Lime Crime palettes are too thick to put anything in front of them, but you can put a CP 9-pan or a Juvia’s Place 6-pan next to them. My Naked Cherry palette is too thick to have anything in front of it and too long to have anything next to it. All in all, though, I managed to fit 40 palettes of varying shapes and sizes in two of these organizers; I also slipped on top two more short ones (Laura Mercier Artist’s Palette and ABH Sultry) that are sitting on top of the bars in between slots.
I really love the look it gives in my vanity space, and it takes up so much less space than my previous setup. More importantly, it’s so much easier to keep my collection organized by color and find what I’m looking for easily. Well worth the price – they are solid wood and I know that they’ll last and look good for a long time.
