What is Shipping Insurance?

Shipping insurance is optional coverage that protects your package from damage that may occur throughout the delivery process. If selected, For Her Vanity will either replace or issue a refund for an item that was damaged while in transit and under the carrier’s possession.

If you choose to opt out of our shipping insurance at check out you assume full responsibility for your package.

What if my item was damaged during shipping?

For Her Vanity shall not be liable for any lost, stolen packages or for any delay caused by act or default of the shipping carrier we however do offer shipping insurance for damage products during shipping. We HIGHLY recommend selecting Shipping insurance at checkout so you can be covered for any damage during shipping. We make sure all packages are packed very well. We add extra fragile stickers to packages so the carrier can handle the package with care.  It is important to know if you reject our shipping insurance you will assume full responsibly for the package.  

Steps you can take if you rejected our shipping insurance:

  1. File a claim through the carrier it will be either USPS  or FEDEX depending who delivered your package and follow their instructions.

Steps to take if you are covered by our shipping insurance :

  1. Make sure to email us within 72 hours after package has been marked as delivered. (MUST BE WITHIN THIS TIME FRAME NO EXCEPTIONS)
  2. Email must contain order number the name of the product(s) and a photo(s) of damage item(s)  .
  3. Once we receive your email with correct information we will begin to process your claim.

What if my package was lost or stolen?

Our shipping insurance does not cover lost or stolen packages. If your package was lost by the carrier you will need to contact the carrier to see if your items where covered under their insurance and seek to be reimbursed by them.

We do not offer coverage for stolen packages. Unfortunately, if your package is stolen you will be responsible for the loss, For Her Vanity will not reimburse or replace any items that have been stolen.
